A new tradition – the homemade Christmas gift

There is a great little pottery shop here in Bellevue that the kids can pick out different items – like mugs, ice cream bowls, etc. and paint them.  I thought that would be a great way for the kids to participate more in the gift giving process than just mom picking something out and paying for it.

They painted ice cream bowls for Nana and Pop

And mugs for Uncle John & Aunt Raquel

Four items was about all they had the patience & concentration for…

So, the rest of the family can probably expect theirs as the years go on.

And…whoops!  I forgot to get a picture of the finished product.  They actually turned out really great.
