First #1 - I don't think I have ever gone 3 weeks without making a post. Wow! It has been busy, spring, and I haven't charged my camera battery for a LONG time...so no battery = no pictures (at least good pictures--these are all obviously from my phone)

First #3 - An emergency visit to the E.R. for an accident. Yes, this is a first for us, if you can believe it. You'd think with two boys we'd be in there all the time. Bryson fell backward through the unzipped opening of the net around the trampoline and hit is head on the metal stool they use to get up on the tramp.

determined that it required a doctor
The three staples that he got without any anethsia.
Ben met me at the hospital and took over.
He didn't think Bryce needed anything for the pain.
He just told him he needed to flex his muscles for the pretty nurses.
Which he did.
Then he was stapled.
And he was fine.
What a tough kid.
First #4 - Real soccer games for our oldest child,is Colton. He is playing with Sawtooth United and it is great fun. Maybe even more for mom & dad than son.
The reason I'm putting this on here is because the first 1/2 of his first game we thought
"Great, our kid can't play sports!"
He looked like he didn't have a clue what he was doing.
Didn't know the objective of the game.
Then the 2nd half started and he was a completely different player.
He dribbled that ball down the field.
He scored 2 goals.
He stole the ball.
Wow!
What happened? Well, I asked and he said
"I was just watching what Kai was doing, then I decided to do what he did."
Of course, why didn't I see that.
First #5 - We got a cat! Tank is his name. No, it isn't what you think. I promise.
We adopted a "barn cat" from the animal shelter for the barn to keep the mice down.
The best thing about this cat is that the only sign that we even have it is the pictures below:

If I could actually find the cat or get a glimpse of it, I would have taken a picture of it,
but the only sign that he is still alive is that the food is gone every morning
and the litter box is used.
What an amazing cat! I have no idea where it hides. Haven't found it anywhere.
I'll keep you posted if I find the hiding place.
Our family has a great history of solders. Both of Ben's grandfathers were in the military (one was on the wrong side--not his fault--its where he was born) and both of my grandfathers and my grandmother were. I will highlight one of them each year...and this year, it gets to be my grandmother, my mom's mom.
