Colton’s First Covenant

Our first child has turned 8 years old.  It seemed like it would be forever before Ben would have the opportunity to baptize our first child, but it was here before we knew it.  Since Colton had essentially grown up in Idaho since he was 3, we decided to head back there for his BIG NUMBER 8 BIRTHDAY and BAPTISM.

Cars 2, the movie, came out in theaters the weekend of his birthday, so it worked out perfectly to

go to the movie with his long-time Hailey friends and have a party at the park…and so appropriately

have another CARS birthday.  That seems to be the recurring thing with my boys.

THE BAPTISM

June 25th, 2011

Colton asked Uncle Curtis to speak on Baptism, Uncle Joseph to speak on the Gift of the Holy Ghost

Dad baptized him.

Pop gave him the Gift of the Holy Ghost.

I am so proud of Colton.  He is such a smart boy who knows what he wants out of life.  During the baptism, whenever Colton was asked a question about the gospel or the covenants he was about to make he knew the answers.  He loves the gospel and the Book of Mormon.  He loves his family.  He loves to learn.  He loves to spend time developing his talents.  He loves to spend time with his dad and never wants to disappoint.

And We Love Him.

His friends and family from all over came to support him on this special day.

Anna says Good-bye to Sylvia

Anna started going to Sylvia's day care when she was only about a year and half old.  There were three little girls all the same age who all started going there about the same time.  They were quite the little princesses.  After more than 2 1/2 years, it was time to say Good-bye.  We will miss you, Sylvia.

Goodbye Bellevue House

The home we finally built from the ground up.  Our dream home.  A home we thought we’d raise our children in.  We had to say goodbye.  AGAIN.  It is rented out and for sale.  Who knows how long that will go on?  In this economy, we aren’t expecting it to move anytime soon.

These pictures are just for remembrance sake (taken when we put it on the market in January—not when we actually moved out).  I never got to completing the decor in the kids bedrooms or the guest bedroom…so they are a little sparse.  But it was a beautiful home to us and we will always have wonderful memories from our time there.  We will miss it, but the future looks bright and we will continue to make memories in a new place and make a new home.  We always have and always will.  Home is where the family is, right?

 

     

 

   

 

 

 

 

Bryson Kindergarten Graduation

Bryson attended a full-day Dual Immersion Kindergarten at Bellevue Elementary in Idaho. 

His teachers were Mrs. Jaqueline Jones and Mrs. Slotten.

He grasped Spanish really quickly.  Too bad we are leaving it all for Salt Lake.

He had a good experience, but probably won’t remember much in years to come.

He says his best friend was Angel Perez.  His favorite thing to do at Bellevue Elementary was to play at recess.  They would play tag.
