Happy 7th Anniversary - Trip to New York

We spent three days in Manhattan--toured ground zero, the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island. We were staying right downtown within walking distance to everything...Rockefeller Center, Empire State Building, 5th Ave, Times Square. We went to the Broadway Musical Mama Mia and attended a session at the Manhattan Temple. It was a great trip!

Hmmm...Do I really need an explanation?

At the tour of ground zero we viewed current construction, saw depictions of the new Freedom Tower shown in this picture. The FDNY Memorial is there next to ground zero--a beautiful tribute to the firefighters. The site is sobering and a reminder of what we experienced on 9/11. The original tower sites will be turned into fountains in the middle of green space.
